My favourite things from Lush: Quite possibly the last bottle of It’s Raining Men on this planet (read my review of it here), Sweetie Pie and my first Lush product ever: Their famous Tea Tree toner!
Mmkay so my giveaway is probably geared towards my AZN readers who have no access to a Lush store but if you DO have a Lush store in your city, you might want to join just so you can get your hands on this bottle of It’s Raining Men. I know I would lol, I’m clinging onto it like a baby and it feels like my happy honey-scented shower fantasies are doomed to end like the Harry Potter series as I sacrifice my bottle of this epic shower gel for the sake of this giveaway. But it’s k. The sweet toffee scent that has made my showers so welcoming on chilly Melbourne mornings will forever be imprinted in my memories.
But of course, if you’re not into yummy shower gels…

1) I’m an awkward 18 year old girl who is learning about life day by day and battling with probably the most important exam of my life( A Levels!). Trying to appreciate the finer things in life and I just enjoying the moment and the simple pleasures in life. I love all the small things that is often overlooked and for me it’s the little things that really matters.
Also, trying my luck in this because I have never really entered a contest before but if I win this, it would be a pleasant surprise and a real treat for me especially when I expect myself to be all caught up and frenzied up keeping up with the Singapore education system ha!
2) I can’t really remember how I found your blog but ever since I’ve found it, I have been going back for more and trolling… silenty heh heh

hmm i’m studying in uni, on holiday now too! but doing a holiday job right now = suffering at the workplace *clinging on to the thought of payday* i love to read and is totally obsessed with having good skin as i have acne prone skin =( and stress from studying is so not helping (have been trying different skincare routines and hope to find the correct one soon like you! ^_^)

Aww good luck with the job, I hope it’s not giving you as much torture as school lol? Thanks for taking part in the giveaway and I hear ya about acne prone skin, it just sucks so much! We’ll just have to persevere and keep experimenting till we get our right skincare routine.
Ahh I really want to check out the cafes in Singapore as well but usually when I head back home, I always seem to want local hawker food all the time so there hasn’t been a chance for me to explore the cafes as of yet
BUT HEY! If you like cafes, why not check out the ones at Dempsey?

Favorite movies are the LOTR trilogy OMG the Hobbit is FINALLY coming out in December 2012 wheeee!! Also, I love Eminem. And yup, that’s me in a nutshell!

Hello, my (full) name is Mariah Aiyesha and I’m a petite girl of 18, currently studying and/or dying in Millennia Institute. I’m in a business/science stream (unfortunately). However, my interests contradicts what I study. I love architecture and food (especially of the European sort), visual art, jazz music and being an Internet dork. I’m pretty chilled even though I’m prone to introverted tendencies, being socially awkward is still a bit of an issue with me sometimes. I’ve been a little into feminine things as of late, like fashion and beauty products. This significantly escalated when I chanced upon your gorgeous blog through a reccomendation by a friend on Tumblr (Casey, I think?). I’ve learnt quite a number of things that I never thought would matter to me, particularly about the importance of great skin. Recently, I’ve managed to improve my face complexion through your advice and I find myself enjoying the newfound confidence in looking good! Thank you, I’m indeed very grateful.
I think your blog is doing wonders already. Perhaps you could do some travel blogging about the places you happen to go to and do a little guide on where you’ve been, what you see, what you recommend we could do. Like whenever you’re out in town in Melbourne or back in Singapore and such. And perhaps maybe a bit on quick food for those with busy schedules and have little time to prepare a full course meal. And if you find nice little places you think would be a good recommendation you could post it as well (not as though you already don’t do that). But apart from that, your blog is terrific as it is already. I may not win this contest but I simply like to express my appreciation for tea-noir. <3

Ria, your full name is beautiful!! I don’t know any friends who went into MI, what is it like? I think the business/science stream sounds interesting but it must be quite the challenge as well. What subjects are you taking under the business side? Economics, I assume? I hope you get to pursue something you love after your A levels ;D Do what you love and everything else will fall into place

I know there has been a great reduction in my beauty posts in the past year but since becoming a student, I find it a little harder to blog about the sort of make up I have on etc because it’s usually the last thing on my mind!

Hey again Nadia! Thank you for participating and you know what, I think you’re the only person (apart from my close friends) who actually got to know of tea noir from my Livejournal lol. It’s very flattering that you like my entries enough to be distraught about my locked entries (you should have just said hello then, I would have gladly added you back haha!)
Again, as much as I’d love to share my daily outfits on this blog – I don’t have anyone to take photos of me lol and since I don’t have a tripod & am incredibly bad at taking photos of myself = no outfit photos D: But I’ll try to put up some whenever I can lah! Usually the photos I share on FB are iphone ones and I feel a bit paiseh to put them up on this blog since they’re not very high quality compared to photos I take with my camera haha (ANAL!!)

It's not like I'm pregnant but I just cannot help craving for something each day. Like currently, I have this crazy craving for nasi lemak and thank god I'm going to have it this week. Oh yes, I enjoy baking too! It's actually my first love before I discover the wonderful world of make-up. I still do bake but I really think it's time I learn how to cook.

I love Beauty Fool, it’s almost like an online magazine now, solely focused on beauty and girl, I am so happy your blog has been getting so many wonderful opportunities this past year – 2011 must have been an incredible year so far and the best part is that it’s not even over yet so I can’t imagine what other gifts your blog has in store for you! I’m a fellow tea lover and just hosted a wonderful tea party where I made crostadas and tea sangria (non-alcoholic). I’m also a perfume and makeup and nail polish nut, and actually thanks to you I’ve started collecting statement rings (slowly) too LOL. You’re one of my best girlfriends and I really miss chatting with you!!!

Yo!! & lol. I’m gonna try to have another tea party next week! And hopefully I’ll remember to take pictures then! But dude! Crostadas are *so* easy! It’s like … a really Italian version of a pie?
1) thaw some frozen puff pastry, unfold
2) arrange whatever sliced fruit you want in concentric circles on the puff pastry (I like peaches and plums and nectarines and apricots, and I usually dump a pile of raspberries in the center) until there’s about an inch of pastry on the edges
3) dust liberally with whatever sugar you feel like, I usually use brown sugar
4) fold the pastry over and pinch so it stays (I usually cut the edges of the rectangular puff pastry into a circle first too)
5) brush the crust with an egg wash (one egg yolk and a half teaspoon of water ish)
6) then pop in the oven at 375F for ~20 minutes.
Presto! It seriously only takes like 10 minutes prep. It’s like everything that’s awesome about pie without the effort that it takes to make pie lol. And it looks really pretty, esp if you use apricots and raspberries.
Dude! I can’t wait ’til you get a chance to play with everything I sent you, ’cause I totally sent you a decant of Earl Grey & Cucumber hehehe. & YES! You have really awesome taste hahaha, I’m happy it’s rubbing off on me too.
I can’t wait to see the ring I got from etsy too lol. I’ll def send you a pic when I get it! 
& awwww, shucks lol. I’ve got some more time now… but I just keep not remembering to take pics and such – I’m so out of the loop. I’m definitely going to try to be better with the camera the next few days. Hope I can write up a few posts in the next few weeks. & yea! 1) i love sunsets and rainbows and emerald green! i love food too. good food, good ambience and GREAT conversation makes the world go round. when i was young (5 years old) i embarrassed my dad by screaming in front of the whole world that i want to eat bak kwa.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA your bak kwa story is hilarious, woman! But ok I have to confess, when I was a kid I, too, wanted to eat bak kwa lol. I told my dad about it and he bought me deng deng to eat but er I was so disappointed and asked “kenapa ni bukan merah macam babi?” I AM SUCH A TERRIBLE KID OMG!!

What are you studying in university? If you really want to be in the aviation industry, I say GO FOR IT!! It’ll be nice to have more females in that particular line of work.

Hi ilyana! I’m on a blogcomment-roll of sorts & I gotta admit, I adore that ring! I want, plsplspls.
1) I’m Suhaila, in Sg & currently mugging for my Bachelor in Finance. I love all things edible – making, sharing, drooling over, snapping pics, etcetc. I also love people who create magic with their DSLR and you’re definitely one of em. Havent always been one to hold by strict beauty regimes, but I’m really starting to, thanks to you! Oh I love those shots of products on mossed garden tiles! More pls? I’m insanely rustic food photos in quaint cafes & restaurants in Melb. Props to you on the clever use of natural lighting every single time..
2) And because I love food so much, I’m constantly googling the benefits / all things related to food. So here’s what I typed to accidentally stumble upon Tea Noir – “benefits of black tea”. Yep, weird I know, but I’m so glad I did! Have been coming back for
more doses of Ilyana ever since lol.
3) More Melb cafe visits pls! Ok too much la, I know what it’s like on a student budget. Ok maybe more Melb sceneries, places to visit, chill out, parks, etcetc? Tea Noir could double up as a Travel blog too maybe?
And have a safe trip back to Melb once your break is over! =)

Hi Suhaila, how’s your mugging going? Studying Finance must be hard (of course I am saying this because I am hopeless at Math and still use a calculator to do simple calculations lol) Yay I’m happy someone isn’t bored with my product shots, those wooden tiles are the only place in my house I can get good lighting so I’ve been taking everything on those tiles lol (when I’m in Singapore anyway).
That certainly the most original way to discover tea noir so far LOL, I’m glad you found me or I wouldn’t have known about your lovely food blog

It’ll be incredible if you manage to win again dear! ;D You take some of the best photos on film and I think you should definitely keep up the analog hobby (although I know getting film developed is expensive!)
I will definitely shoot more in Melbourne! Take care and we should meet up with the girls in Dec! I actually wanted to meet up this time but the other girls were only free on the day I was supposed to fly off so it’s a no go
Ah well, December beckons!

a little bit about myself .. the fastest way to get to me will never be through my mobile phone because i will conveniently throw it somewhere not within my sight once i reach home. also, my memory is somewhat like dory’s – i cannot remember important things that i have to remember.

Thank you for liking the way I write, I feel like my writing’s been stagnant since forever but I will keep on writing because that’s the only way.
Lol you and many other people would love to see that but again, I cannot take photos of myself seriously. You ask me to take photos of pokok-pokok, laut and make-up, I can do that in a jiffy but photos of me (even beauty-related ones) always end up terrible – I need someone to take them for me and I’m so paiseh to ask my friends lol but we’ll see.
